From July 1 through Sept. 30, OTSI spent $2,409,001 on its five largest buys, compared with $11.6 million on corresponding buys during the second quarter, according to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System. (All numbers are rounded.) The items purchased were roughly the same in both quarters: subscriptions, notebook computers, servers and switches, and cloud software and tools.
OTSI is part of the California Health and Human Services Agency, and its director, Adam Dondro, is also the agency information officer for CHHS. The office’s name change was announced this spring. OTSI is responsible for state-level project management and oversight of the California Statewide Automated Welfare System.
OTSI’s five largest purchases of IT goods in the third quarter were:
- $1,297,437 for HP Ultrabook notebook computers, purchased Sept. 19 on a statewide contract with NWN Solutions Corp.
- $326,859 for Cisco 24-port switches, purchased July 20 on a statewide contract with Presidio Networked Solutions Group.
- $323,092 for a Sept. 14 purchase of ServiceNow Instance for Government Data Center software, in a Software Licensing Program (SLP) contract with Enterprise Networking Solutions Inc.
- $257,420 for a Splunk cloud subscription with federal compliance impact-level controls, Encryption at Rest, and Premium Success Plan, in a Sept. 18 SLP contract with Solutions Simplified.
- $204,193 for a ServiceNow subscription in an Aug. 28 SLP purchase that runs from Sept. 29 through Sept. 28, 2024, from HF Tech Services Inc.
