The California Department of Technology has announced the intent to award two contracts. Both are legally binding but can be revoked, if the state has cause.
One contract is for a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription from a vendor for incident management, governance, risk and compliance software and support.
Bridge Micro was awarded to the contract to provide the subscription. The program will assist in limiting risk across IT operations.
The other contract award is for a temporary license plate and report-of-sale system. Fairfax Imaging Inc. is likely the recipient of the contract and will provide the software to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The system will allow car retailers to print temporary licenses on weatherproof paper. It will also notify appropriate partners when a car sale is made.
