Vendors Can Weigh In on Procurement Site, Staff

Sacramento County government is conducting a survey of vendors and suppliers to gauge their views on various aspects of doing business with the county.

The Vendor/Supplier Feedback Survey asks about the county bidding website — how often a respondent visits the site, how useful it is to them, how easily they can navigate it, and how they view its overall design.

Vendors are also asked whether the county’s procurement process is open, fair and equitable — with multiple-choice answers ranging from “Always” to “Never” — and whether members of the county procurement staff conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Other questions on the survey ask whether the procurement staff is responsive and whether they demonstrate high ethical standards.

The survey also asks about the county’s ability to communicate its needs  “Are bids understandable?”
