Verizon Names Michael Hogan Senior Client Partner for Public Sector

Michael Hogan, a Sacramento-based technology professional with more than 20 years’ experience in the field, has been named senior client partner for public sector by Verizon.

“I collaborate with all levels of state executives and Verizon cross-functional teams to position solutions and influence positive outcomes that support state of California goals and strategic direction,” Hogan told Industry Insider — California in an email.

“I’m responsible for developing trusted relationships and driving growth strategies for Verizon in the state of California,” Hogan wrote. “My focus is to develop comprehensive strategic plans and executive profiles based on industry trending, customer analysis and business initiatives. I am responsible for complex solution development that demonstrates value and ensures the client will successfully achieve their business initiatives.”

John Wasilewski, Verizon’s associate director for Public Sector Sales, cited Hogan’s broad experience working with government.

“We chose Mike for this role due to his extensive relationships and deep knowledge of the state of California,” Wasilewski said.

Hogan has more than two decades of experience in sales and account management, including with Integra Telecom (regional sales manager for California and Nevada), Frontier Communications (state and local account executive), Comcast Business (strategic government account executive) and Spectrum Enterprise (key account lead).

Hogan is an alumnus of San Diego State University (SDSU), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in business/marketing and where he was affiliated with the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and played on SDSU’s intercollegiate soccer team.
