Private industry can bring agile experience and expertise to government programs, says Adam Dondro, agency information officer for the California Health and Human Services Agency.
"People aren't going to wait until the last hour to see actual results," Dondro said in an interview with e.Republic's Steve Towns at this month's California Technology Forum. "They're going to want to see some ideas up front and have that back-and-forth feedback in a new way."
Dondro also discussed sharing data for better governance and evaluating uses and best fit for cloud services.
In a story that ran Tuesday, Techwire erroneously identified Dondro as being with the Department of Social Services. He had been assistant director of that department before being named AIO for CHHS last month.
