Which IT Job Ranks 10th in Growth, First in Pay in Sacramento Region?

One of the state Employment Development Department’s (EDD) 10 fastest-growing occupations in the Sacramento-Roseville region, and only one, is in IT — and there’s an interesting disparity between its rank and compensation.

The position, Web developer, ranks last in growth rate among the top 10 — which is dominated by the building trade — but it’s in first place in annual wage. Worth noting: While the number of positions in this category is growing, the number of positions in non-IT occupations is growing more quickly.
