Who Issued the Most RFPs in FY 2016/17?

The department issuing the most RFPs, according to State Contract and Procurement Registration System (SCPRS) data, was Caltrans, with a $10.5 billion budget for 2016-17, according to the Legislative Analyst's Office. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) had a $2.4 billion budget and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) had a $1.1 billion budget. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) budget was more than $10 billion. The Department of Water Resources overall budget was an estimated $2 billion.
