COVID-19 as a "success" after 10 million people signed up for it in the first four months.
On December 10, the California Department of Public Health launched "CA Notify." Tek
Yantra is proud to have contributed to this success. They estimate that one out of every
four California residents has either downloaded or activated the app on their phone.
This represents 39% of all smartphone users in the state.
The app detects when your phone has been within 6 feet of another user's phone for
more than 15 minutes using Bluetooth technology. You will receive an alert if that person
informs the system that they have tested positive for COVID-19.
Function App that lets the developers group functions as a logical unit for easier
management, deployment, scaling, and sharing of resources, Azure Logic App helps
creating and running automated workflows that integrate the CA.notify app, data,
services, and systems. With this platform service, we can quickly develop highly
scalable integration solutions for any enterprise and business-to-business (B2B)
scenarios, Azure Storage account provides a unique namespace for the Azure
Storage data that's accessible from anywhere in the world over HTTP or HTTPS and
contains all the Azure Storage data objects, including blobs, file shares, queues, tables,
and disks for the notify system. Azure active directory is a cloud-based identity and
access management service and this service helps access the external resources, such
as the Azure portal and the SaaS applications like CA.notify, Azure Key Vault which is
a cloud service for securely storing and accessing API keys, passwords, certificates, or
cryptographic keys, and Azure Web Apps are Microsoft's offering to cloud to host web
applications. These web apps have allowed developers to focus on delivering business
values rather than consuming time on Sever updates or OS patches. CA.notify has built
on Python and can be deployed on web apps.
Tek Yantra Inc. Is honored to provide assistance from Initial assessment to making the
the application operational and maintaining the infrastructure and pipelines for end to
end delivery. Officials with the CDPH say there's no way to know how many cases were
avoided, and privacy laws prevent them from tracking the exact number of alerts sent
out. Meanwhile, they claim that phone-based contact tracing is nearly twice as effective
as traditional contact tracing.
