Kevin Cornish, chief information officer for Covered California, was named CIO of the Year. Mike Nguyen, chief technology officer for the California Department of Transportation and the California State Transportation Agency, was named CTO of the Year. They were among the public-sector honorees at this week’s California Public Sector CIO Academy.

This year, two technologists were recognized as Chief Information Officers of the Year: Roseville CIO Hong Sae and Heather Pettit, CIO of the Judicial Council of California.
