CalSTRS says it wants to augment its current system — "Kofax Ascent Capture (currently Capture 10) for image acquisition and document identification and IBM FileNet P8 5.2 for document workflow and the imaging repository with Kofax Analytics for Capture.

Here are the bid details, which were initially released on April 8:

CalSTRS is looking to enhance the current capture installation by implementing Kofax Transformation Module (KTM), an advanced imaging capture software solution that will automate much of the manual capture and recognition processes in place and also has the ability to extract data from captured documents and export to the system of record. In addition, CalSTRS seeks to improve reporting capabilities around imaging processes by utilizing Kofax Analytics for Capture to compile and track document capture statistics. To implement these solutions, CalSTRS is seeking proposals from interested companies, businesses and firms to sell, install and implement Kofax Analytics for Capture and to assist the department in successfully configuring, testing and deploying KTM into production. The Kofax Transformation Module implementation time frame will be dependent on the Proposers’ tasks and their durations. CalSTRS intends to award a contract for up to one year with the option to extend the contract for up to two additional years.
The final date to submit proposals is May 11. The contract award and contract start date is dependent on the proposals received.
