California Finalizes New Statewide Contracts for Printers and Multi-Function Devices

The new contracts, which are available Sept. 1, were put out to competitive bid in March 2016; they were last refreshed in 2011.

This week the Department of General Services announced new statewide contracts for printers and multi-function devices (MFDs) will be available starting Sept. 1.

The new contracts, by distributor and manufacturer:

Desktop Printers:
• 1-16-70-04A: NWN Corp. (NWN) — HP

Workgroup Printers:
• 1-16-70-04A: NWN Corp. (NWN) — HP
• 1-16-70-04B: Technology Integration Group (TIG) — Samsung
• 1-16-70-04C: Granite Data Solutions — Lexmark

Multi-Function Devices (MFDs):
• 1-16-70-04A: NWN Corporation (NWN) — HP
• 1-16-70-04B: Technology Integration Group (TIG) — Samsung

"The printers on this contract meet the latest ENERGY STAR requirements and are certified to minimum of EPEAT Bronze level," an Aug. 15 DGS bulletin says.

These contracts were put out to competitive bid in March 2016; they were last refreshed in 2011.

According to the state, roughly $20 million of devices have been procured through the current contracts as of the beginning of 2016.
