The California Department of Technology is inviting qualified firms to respond to a bid opportunity seeking a contractor to provide labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform cabling services at numerous sites statewide.
"The purpose of this IFB is to establish a contract for Network and Voice Cabling Services to supplement and modify the existing LAN/WAN cabling infrastructure for the California Department of Technology, Office of Technology Services. This contract will support all aspects of network and voice cabling (i.e., facilities, Windows server, Unix, mainframe, etc.)," according to the bid released Feb. 10.
The two-year contract will include an option year. The agreement is capped at $1.2 million.
"The Contractor must provide certified, qualified technicians to supplement and modify the existing State’s LAN/WAN cabling infrastructure, and shall install, service, and modify cabling and fiber at any of the state’s sites," the bid says.
