The California Department of Technology released on Wednesday a bid solicitation for eSignatures and Digital Signature solutions — a new addition to the department's portfolio of Vendor Hosted Subscription Services (VHSS).
The state is seeking cloud-based, Electronic Signature (eSignature)/Digital Signature capabilities for public and internal use through Software as a Service (SaaS). The state may opt to make multiple awards.
The offerings procured through the bid will be added to the department's portfolio of Vendor Hosted Subscription Services (VHSS). In the VHSS model, customers pay a prenegotiated rate and pay as they go. The Department of Technology acts as a service broker.
VHSS is one vertical within CalCloud, the state government's private cloud.
Current VHSS subscription offerings include Project and Portfolio Management (PPM), Remedy on Demand (RoD, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Future subscription offerings will include Offsite Backup and Disaster Recovery, and eSignature/Digital Signature.
Final bids are due Oct. 7. Key action dates are subject to change.
