The state Office of Technology Services is planning to increase the number of customer cabinets it can support at its Gold Camp Data Center, according to state documents.
The Department of Technology has released an RFQ seeking a contractor to install new electrical power equipment and other infrastructure as part of an 18-month contract. A bidder's conference is scheduled for April 15.

Last month the Department of Technology told the Legislature that the customer base for the state's private cloud is growing. Sixty government entities have become CalCloud customers, including the Board of Equalization, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Controller’s Office.
