The state of California is preparing to re-bid a Master Services Agreement (MSA) for electronic payment acceptance services (EPAY), according to state records.
The current MSA was established in 2010, and the contract is set to expire in early 2017. The current contract provides participating state agencies and local governments with services such as credit/debit card and e-check processing, and electronic fund transfer.
"We are specifically interested in any input from providers of EPAY services regarding new services, industry changes, terms and conditions, and applicable rules and regulations," says a Request for Information seeking input from vendors. Responses to the RFI are due Aug. 24.
The current MSA processes about 27 million EPAY transactions each year, the Department of General Services said.
The state of California will be soliciting for a new MSA in "the coming months," according to the RFI.
