The city of Dallas has multiple upcoming tech procurements planned for quarter four of 2024, including $60 million for an advanced metering infrastructure/meter data management system (AMI/MDMS).

To increase vendor submissions, the city releases a quarterly procurement forecast. The following is a breakdown of the upcoming procurements for Q4 (July-September) by department.

Dallas Water Utilities
  • $60 million for an AMI/MDMS
  • $71,307 for the renewal of its Linko software web-base hosted environment
  • $49,500 for the renewal of its SwiftComply fog software database maintenance and support
  • $160,000 for a safety and compliance management system

Dallas Police Department
  • A five-year revenue contract for a security alarm permitting and false alarm management system

Human Resources
  • $177,000 for pay equity software solutions

Information Technology

Library
  • $6 million for e-content materials
