The city of Denton is searching for data acquisition/human-machine interface (HMI) software to upgrade its water treatment plant supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Denton’s adopted budget includes $1.3 million for the requested HMI upgrades.
According to the request for proposals (RFP), the city hopes to standardize its water treatment and reclamation facilities to a single software platform.
The chosen vendor will provide five years of software support, professional services for successful implementation and training for select city staff.
Denton’s list of requirements for the software includes 125 separate functions, such as data buffering, graphic propagation, offsite control, advanced scripting, historical data management and user-based roles.
