The Department of Information Resources (DIR) has issued a request for offers (RFO) from vendors capable of providing education IT products and related services to DIR customers.

DIR previously released a pre-solicitation notice of this RFO in January.

Hardware items listed in the notice include classroom interactive tools, interactive boards, touchscreens, response systems, active learning kits, laptops, printers, mobile/tablet devices, technology-based laboratory products and graphing calculators. Software or software as a service listed include mobile device applications, online and client-based curriculum solutions, student information systems, learning management systems and calculator software applications. DIR also listed artificial intelligence-enhanced products for education, blended learning tools, technology-based laboratory products and accessibility solution-based technology hardware and software learning products in the notice.

The notice also requests IT management analysis services, IT assessment and planning services and related services to hardware and software.

Products and services outside of the scope of the RFO include related services that are not provided with an associated product or service, custom application development services, deliverables-based IT services, cloud broker services, professional or consulting services and telecommunications services.

The successful respondent(s) will be contracted to provide cost-effective IT resources to state agencies, local governments and other customers under DIR’s Cooperative Contracts program.

According to the RFO, “contracts negotiated and managed through the Cooperative Contracts program resulted in over $9.2 billion in customer purchases for the past three fiscal years combined.”

More detailed information about RFO No. DIR-CPO-TMP-588, including all minimum requirements and additional submission instructions, can be found online. An optional pre-proposal webinar will be held at 10 a.m. April 3. The deadline for question submissions is 5 p.m. April 5. The due date for proposals is 2 p.m. May 22. Thuvan Huynh is the point of contact for this RFO.
