The Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) is looking to outsource the management of its computer server, database and web applications cloud hosting for its crisis information management system (CIMS).

According to a request for proposals (RFP) released by TDEM, the department’s CIMS, WebEOC, has been hosted in an externally managed data center for approximately four years.

The chosen contractor will work with TDEM’s WebEOC software vendor to migrate the existing system to a new environment before migrating user accounts and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and approval.

TDEM hopes to have the system migration completed by Oct. 6 and UAT by Oct. 11.

The contract resulting from this RFP will run for 10 months, ending on Aug. 31, 2025, with the option to renew for an additional four one-year periods.

More detailed information about RFP No. TDEM-RFP-1518, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. Question submissions are due at 4 p.m. Friday. The deadline for proposals is 4 p.m. Aug. 23. Joanna Morgan is the point of contact for this RFP.
