The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has opened applications for the New Technology Implementation Grant program (NTIG).

According to the application invitation, the program’s objective is “to offset the incremental cost of emissions reductions of pollutants from facilities and other stationary sources in Texas.”

Applicants must either be the owner of a facility in the state that emits pollutants or provide evidence of operational control of a facility for the duration of the contract to be considered eligible.

Proposed technologies must be capable of significantly reducing emissions from facilities and/or other stationary sources. Eligible projects include oil and gas, electricity storage and new technologies.

According to the invitation, TCEQ projects $10.9 million to be available for the program. Grantees may be eligible for reimbursement of up to 50 percent of their implementation costs.

The application submission deadline is 5 p.m. Jan. 7, 2025. Applications may be submitted via TCEQ’s file transfer protocol secure server, via email or by physical mail. Heidi Clausen is the point of contact for this application invitation.
