The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued a request for information (RFI) regarding an evaluation and revision of its current website’s information architecture.

According to the RFI, the commission’s goal is to revise its website “with a focus on findability and discoverability.”

TCEQ’s current website, which houses 4,000 webpages, 869 folders and 29,000 PDF files, saw 2.2 million unique visitors in fiscal year 2023, 39 percent of which were from mobile devices.

The agency also maintains approximately 150 applications, all of which are linked to various sections of its website.

The potential scope of work for a forthcoming solicitation resulting from this RFI may include content inventory and audit, research and testing, sitemap production and a corresponding report.

More detailed information about RFI No. 582-24-00841, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. The closing date is 3 p.m. May 22. Elvarina Hatcher is the point of contact for this RFI.
