The Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is looking for information on how to modernize its child welfare case management system (CMS), called Information Management Protecting Adults and Children in Texas (IMPACT).

IMPACT is a browser-based information system that records intakes, investigations and case management activities.

According to a request for information (RFI) released by the Health and Human Services Commission on behalf of DFPS, the agency is considering cloud-based, market ready options for IMPACT’s replacement.

The intended replacement CMS will include state and federal requirements, improved workflows, data-sharing capabilities and any additional features which maximize efficiency, including artificial intelligence tools.

More detailed information about RFI No. HHS0014973, all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. The due date for submissions is 10:30 a.m. July 22. Andrick Reese is the point of contact for this solicitation.
