The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is looking to hire a data analyst with a geospatial (GIS) developer emphasis.

The chosen applicant will be responsible for performing complex functions, such as data quality management, applications development and research consultation, within the Office of Data, Analytics and Performance.

Other job responsibilities include:
  • Analysis and visualization of geospatial data
  • Identification of external factors impacting HHSC’s ability to serve
  • Consultation and collaboration with division and agency staff
  • Lead team members on the use of HHSC program data
  • Examine, evaluate and monitor data analysis programs and research methods
The listing calls for an applicant with a bachelor’s degree in a social science, geography, bioscience, statistics, business or a related field and at least three years of experience with ArcGIS, database management software, programming languages and large data set management.
