Lone Star College Seeks Information on AI Detection Tools

According to the RFI, the college is interested in AI detection tools to be integrated with its D2L Learning Management System.

Lone Star College (LSC) has issued a request for information (RFI) for artificial intelligence detection tools.

According to the RFI, LSC is interested in AI detection tools to be integrated with its D2L Learning Management System (LMS) to “improve academic integrity, enhance data security and facilitate effective student engagement.”

The college has requested information regarding the accuracy and reliability of AI detection tools, instances of the tools being used in other higher education institutions, their compatibility with systems already in use at LSC, machine learning functionality, text analysis capabilities, contextual analysis features, feedback functionality, language recognition and interpretation and maintenance requirements.

More detailed information about RFI No. LSC01-0000926, including all minimum requirements and requested services, can be found online. The deadline for question submissions is Jan. 9. The due date for proposals is Jan. 19 at 5 p.m. Dina Sauser is the point of contact for this RFI.

LSC previously released a solicitation for an online student appointment scheduling tool, the deadline for which is Jan. 10.
