The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has issued a request for offer (RFO) for a traffic data subscription solution.

The agency previously released a pre-solicitation notice for the requested solution in March.

The chosen solution will be used to collect roadway segment speed, travel time, origin-destination, trip path and driver behavior data and feed it to TxDOT’s central data architecture.

Data on all mainline Texas state highway system roadways must be provided in a real-time or near-real-time stream to assist in posting travel times between road segments. Historical data for all public roadways on and off the state highway system must also be provided.

TxDOT requires a solution with the ability to filter data, provide travel times by time of day, provide roadway geometry and more.

More detailed information about RFO No. 601440000043597, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. Solicitation questions are due at 3 p.m. Friday. The deadline for submissions is 3 p.m. July 1. Nora Ochoa is the point of contact for this RFO.
