The company does business with state and local government entities as part of its clientele.
Marlin J. Whitney III of the greater Sacramento area, who most recently served as IT consulting manager with Cambria Solutions, said his move to BAC last month was prompted largely by having worked previously with two BAC executives.
“I was drawn to Business Advantage Consulting because I am working with two ex-EDS and ex-HPE execs that I have known for years — Steve Middlekauff and Keith Stock,” Whitney told Industry Insider — California. Middlekauff is BAC’s chief of business operations and senior vice president of business development with parent company Speridian Technologies. Stock is vice president of Speridian. Both are based in the Folsom area.
“Business Advantage Consulting was acquired by Speridian about two years ago with a strong desire to grow the business, and that growth is happening now at BAC, so it is an exciting time,” Whitney said. “My role is as a senior account manager, which includes growing the business and ensuring excellent delivery for the multiple projects we have now, primarily in the public sector.”
In his LinkedIn profile, Whitney describes himself as a “strong information technology professional skilled in IT service management, IT strategy, management, startups and outsourcing.”
Whitney began his career with EDS as an applications delivery executive and manager, then took a similar role with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). After that came his first affiliation with BAC, serving in a senior technical lead role by providing transition planning and consulting services to the state Office of Systems Integration in support of the Case Management, Information and Payrolling System. That was followed by his affiliation with Cambria Solutions, where he supported the California Department of Health Care Services on a Behavioral Health Modernization project and engaged with the California Department of Transportation’s Traffic Operations Division by providing project management services for an automated transportation management system.
Whitney is an alumnus of California State University, Sacramento, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration/management information systems. His professional certifications include Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Certified SAFe Agilist, Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
