The California Department of Social Services’ chief information officer, Chad Crowe, and the chief information security and privacy officer, Gregory Nelson, will talk about their department’s IT plans.
Members of Industry Insider — California are invited to an exclusive in-person briefing with two key technology executives in state government — the chief information officer and the chief information security and privacy officer for the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). The event runs from 3 to 4 p.m. April 18 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. Registration begins at 2:30 p.m.

The department’s mission is to serve, aid and protect needy and vulnerable children and adults in ways that strengthen and preserve families, encourage personal responsibility, and foster independence. The department’s CIO, Chad Crowe, and Gregory Nelson, the information security and privacy officer, will be speaking about CDSS’ IT organization, governance, current projects, future priorities and how they work with industry partners.
