The California Department of Technology (CDT)’s Office of Professional Development has started accepting applications for the Information Technology Leadership Academy (ITLA).

The 18-week program, now in its 33rd year, is designed for IT personnel who are looking to advance their careers into management and executive-level roles.

Applicants must have at least three years of experience in an IT supervisory or managerial position or have completed CDT’s Emerging IT Leaders Boot Camp, and must also have a CIO nomination.

“This year’s program blends ITLA’s hallmark courses with new sessions on executive-level decision-making, communication, data analytics, Business Chemistry 2.0 and generative AI for leaders,” Crystal Holcomb, deputy director of the Office of Professional Development, said in a press release.

The upcoming academy will run from Jan. 7 until May 6 and is comprised of both online and in-person sessions. The deadline to apply is Oct. 29.
