The CIO manages the planning and implementation of enterprise IT and works to improve cost-effectiveness, service quality and business development. The incumbent is responsible for supervising all levels of IT staff in a combination of domains. Duties include:
- Supervise, plan, organize and direct the work of the IT unit
- Formulate and make policy recommendations about the use and security of IT resources at the OTA
- Monitor technology systems and infrastructure for suspicious activity; conduct security assessments and audits, remediations and architecture design reviews

Additional duties include:

Security Operations Lead (IT Specialist II)

The security operations lead engineer manages and performs complex tasks including optimizing and applying architecture solutions and advising and/or formulating IT strategy and policy for the department. The incumbent must maintain confidentiality, demonstrate ethical behavior and work cooperatively. The position may require travel to institutions and after-hours support of CCHCS software applications and systems.
Additional duties include:
- Developing and ensuring that security solutions and technical artifacts are in place throughout all CCHCS IT systems and platforms
- Providing technical leadership and expertise in planning, configuring and supporting CCHCS’ most complex security architecture and IT environments
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation on network and security systems used in the Enterprise Security environment

The incumbent works in the Business Intelligence Data Warehousing Group as a lead data engineer in the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and in building out new API integrations. This role includes representing the group in support of the EDDNext project, which consists of modernizing EDD’s Unemployment and Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave benefit systems.
Additional duties include:
- Ensuring that data is converted into an appropriate format that fits the destination database; data is transferred correctly; data works in the new destination database; data retains its quality and data consistency is maintained at all times
- Ensuring that the IT branch’s strategic direction is followed, and developing implementation strategies and functional processes for the group
- Participating and collaborating in efforts involving data architecture, data governance, data infrastructure and data innovation
