M Corp Names Tech Veterans to Leadership Ranks

The Sacramento-based company’s two new hires have deep backgrounds in the private and public sectors.

M Corp, the Sacramento company that works with public- and private-sector clients on modernization, has added two new technology professionals to the ranks.

Bill Cody, who has more than 30 years’ experience in IT sales and sales management, is M Corp’s new director of sales for the Professional Services practice. Cody, a resident of the Greater Sacramento area, has worked in various sales and management roles with multiple tech companies, including Symantec, Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ServiceNow, Splunk, VMware and Delphix.

“I am just really happy and excited to be back 100 percent focused on the state of California,” Cody told Industry Insider California.

“Bill has a proven track record of success,” M Corp co-founder and CEO Alex Castro said in a news release. “We are pleased for him to join our team as M Corp pushes the boundaries beyond risky, outdated models toward modern digital services. By focusing on data-driven outcomes instead of code-heavy, legacy system upgrades, we are raising a paradigm that puts our clients on the precipice of greatness.”

M Corp also announced the addition of Mehdi Ghomeshi, who will be client engagement manager. Ghomeshi is a veteran of state government IT, having served in management and executive positions with the California Department of Social Services, the Employment Development Department, the state Office of the Chief Information Officer, the California High-Speed Rail Authority and the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal). Before joining M Corp, Ghomeshi was most recently the director of the state practice for Graviton Consulting Services.

“My role at M Corp as a client engagement manager will focus on overall relationship management with our clients and ensuring a top-notch client experience,” Ghomeshi told Industry Insider. “I will be working to develop and maintain client partnerships based on trust and transparency, evaluation and analysis of customer needs, management of resources, and true collaboration. Ultimately, my goal is to be an advocate for our clients to build ongoing loyalty and retention.”

M Corp recently created a product division “dedicated to transformative ‘as-a-service’ products” and realigned its leadership to reflect the change. Ryan Clements, who joined M Corp’s leadership team in 2021, was named senior vice president of Product Solutions; and Emily Holtz, who also joined M Corp’s leadership ranks last year, is vice president of Product Operations. Tom Larson is senior vice president for Professional Services.
