Industry Insider — California now has a new member resource that breaks down the state’s 2024 enacted budget.
After months of negotiation to address the state’s $46.8 billion budget deficit, Gov. Gavin Newsom and lawmakers pushed through a $297.9 billion budget package June 26.
The resource breaks down the state and federal funding amounts across topic areas like government operations and health and human services. It also provides agency-specific allocations and estimated IT budgets.
“Our goal is to provide our members critical yet easy-to-digest California gov tech information, especially when it comes to state budgets,” said Mike Driessen, publisher of Industry Insider and vice president of subscription services for parent company e.Republic. “The newly released 2025 Enacted Budget Detail provides members a quick way to see overall agency/departmental budgets and estimated IT budgets, which is vital when completing 2025 sales and account planning.”
