Newsom Appoints Commander for OES' Cal-CSIC

Matthew Sage has been named as commander for the California Cybersecurity Integration Center within the Governor's Office of Emergency Services.

Services, which houses Cal-CSIC, having held multiple cybersecurity leadership positions there since joining in March 2023. Those positions included commander and deputy commander of the State Threat Assessment Center.

Prior to state service, Sage was an account executive with Echo Analytics Group and served as a supervisory intelligence specialist with the U.S. Army from 2015 until 2021.

In addition, Sage’s resume includes work for DynCorp International and SYTERA LLC. He served in the U.S. Army as an E-5 from 2006 to 2010.

Sage holds a bachelor's degree in intelligence studies from the American Military University.
