The California Office of Data and Innovation (ODI) and other state partners are hosting another innovation showcase, this time focused on AI-enabled solutions for housing permitting.
The latest chance for vendors to show their wares directly to potential government buyers is part of a partnership among ODI, the California Government Operations Agency (GovOps), the California Housing and Homelessness Agency (CHHA), and the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz).
ODI describes the event as "not a procurement activity."
Specifically, the organizations are looking for AI-enabled tools that address three main areas: guiding constituents through the application process, supporting internal review across entitlement and building permit phases, and helping jurisdictions stay abreast of changing state and local housing law. A posting from ODI notes that vendors can address single or multiple areas in their presentations.
Vendors interested in participating in this showcase can attend an information session July 30 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. An Intent to Showcase can be submitted until Aug. 11 at 5 p.m.
More information about the challenge statements and application process is available here.
