Department of Parks and Recreation
Privacy Officer (IT Manager I)

The California Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a privacy officer to serve within the department’s Information Security and Privacy Office. Reporting to the chief information security officer, the position is responsible for managing privacy and compliance programs across headquarters and the department’s 288 field locations. Duties include oversight of protected data, data classification, privacy and business impact assessments, disclosure reviews and compliance with state and federal privacy and security requirements.

The privacy officer will spend the largest share of their time administering the privacy program, including classifying and protecting department data, completing required compliance documentation and overseeing quarterly reporting and remediation. The position also serves as a liaison with the department’s Legal Office and the California Natural Resources Agency, manages privacy training and supervises information security assessments and audits involving state technology and military departments.

Franchise Tax Board
Section Manager (IT Manager I)
$9,387 to $12,579 per month

The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking a section manager for its Tax Systems Modernization Requirements Analysis Section. The position will lead project planning and analysis activities tied to the department’s technology modernization efforts, working with IT managers, business partners, contractors and staff to develop requirements and evaluate proposed system designs.

The manager will supervise senior analysts and subject matter experts responsible for business problem analysis, project planning and the project approval life cycle. Duties include overseeing functional, data and technical requirements, coordinating with business leaders and system users and helping ensure proposed solutions and applications meet department objectives. The position also supports modernization projects by setting priorities, managing analyst resources and helping develop deployment, implementation and conversion strategies.

The role also includes work on feasibility studies, requests for proposals, budget change proposals and legislative proposals connected to future modernization projects.

Employment Development Department
Business Analyst (IT Specialist II)
$8,625 to $11,557 per month

The Employment Development Department is searching for a business analyst lead for its EDDNext Division. The position would work within the Technical Delivery/Application and Development unit, supporting applications and delivery work tied to EDDNext projects.

The business analyst lead would oversee high-level technical and analytical work involving application development, requirements and design. The position allocates 45 percent of its duties to documenting functional, technical and performance requirements, conducting research and analysis and supporting development and testing. Another 30 percent focuses on coordinating with technical and business staff, supporting organizational change management and providing guidance for integration testing.

The remaining core duties include advising management, preparing project reports and presentations, consulting on business and technical issues and working with vendors throughout the software development life cycle.

Employment Development Department
Lead Interface Specialist (IT Specialist II)
$8,625 to $11,557 per month

The Employment Development Department is also searching for a Lead Interface Specialist within the EDDNext Division’s Technical Delivery/Application and Development organization. The role would support enterprise application integrations and interfaces, with responsibility for connecting EDD applications to internal and external partner systems.

The position would lead the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise interfaces, accounting for 45 percent of assigned duties. Another 30 percent would focus on interface testing, deployment, production support and troubleshooting, including identifying root causes of failures and addressing data discrepancies. The specialist would also oversee work performed by state and vendor staff and help ensure integration solutions meet technical, security and performance requirements.

The remaining core duties include serving as a technical adviser on enterprise integration, preparing technical recommendations and documentation and mentoring staff on integration technologies and development practices.
