Procurement Is Topic for Departments’ Next ‘Tech Talk’

The state agencies dealing with technology and purchasing and procurement will host the virtual presentation.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) and the Department of General Services (DGS) are planning a virtual “Tech Talk With CDT” later this month, with an emphasis on procurement and related functions.

CDT describes the event as “an informal conversation” among Russ Nichols, the state’s deputy chief information officer and chief deputy director of CDT; Tiffany Angulo, CDT’s deputy director for statewide technology procurement; and Angela Shell, the state chief procurement officer and deputy director of DGS’ Procurement Division.

The one-hour event begins at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 and registration and other information is available online. Attendees may submit questions beforehand.

  • Marketing goods or services to the state

  • Opportunities for small businesses
