Save the date: The California Public Sector CIO Academy, a mainstay in the gov tech sector in the state, is set for April 15-16, and it boasts a lineup of industry and government leaders.

This year’s event, now in its 20th year, begins both days at 8 a.m. with registration and refreshments, followed by keynote speakers to kick off each day’s agenda. The state chief information officer and director of the California Department of Technology, Liana Bailey-Crimmins, will head a roster of speakers and presenters, including departmental CIOs and other leaders from across state government. Other participants in both days’ breakout sessions include representatives of industry, and dozens of vendors will sponsor the event.

Both days will feature lunch and a general session afterward. The two-day event, presented by Government Technology*, will wrap up with an awards ceremony.

“This cornerstone event champions the fundamental elements of human-centered leadership and organizational transformation,” the event announcement says. “As California continues to lead in an era of unprecedented digital transformation, the Academy empowers leaders to forge the essential skills that power California's vast network of technology departments, shaping a future where leadership and digital innovation advance hand in hand.”
