The California State Lottery is seeking candidates for a senior network engineer (IT Specialist II) to be responsible for the implementation, administration and analysis of the most complex network infrastructure and security systems and to act as the department’s highest-level technical expert for enterprise network systems and infrastructure components.
Other duties of the position include network and network security design and review, researching network infrastructure and security technologies and trends, managing the most complex network and security event analysis and managing change and trouble tickets with vendors.
Desirable qualifications include:

Desirable qualifications include:
- Associate’s degree or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems or a related field and a minimum one year of experience as a physical security engineer or related role
- Honeywell Security or equal certification in physical security systems
- Minimum of one year of experience administering and maintaining camera recording and monitoring, access control, alarm management and other physical security systems, tools and platforms; and at least one year of experience installing and configuring physical security devices
- Minimum one year of infrastructure support or system engineering experience; minimum six months’ experience supporting physical security system workstations, kiosks and command centers
