The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is seeking a senior project manager (IT Specialist II) to be responsible for project management and project support functions to manage complex IT projects.
The department’s Information Systems Division works in collaboration with programs and county agencies to provide solutions to systems that help families access medical services, care providers, groceries and transportation, among other things.
Duties of the position include:
- Overseeing and managing scope, resources and schedules for all aspects related to the project.
- Plan, implement and coordinate project activities with internal and/or external stakeholders, oversight agencies and vendor teams.
- Participate in and oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of individual project objectives and short- and long-range plans; and develop tracking and evaluation programs to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives.
- Manage the working relationships and collaboration among project leaders, agency and department directorates, business partners, stakeholders and advocacy groups.
