Municipalities in California and around the nation are carefully using artificial intelligence to improve access to documents and public meeting materials, leaders said during the recent GovAI Coalition Summit.

The North Star for the federal Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment program is comprehensive connectivity for all homes and businesses, officials said at the Connecting Communities Summit. That could come through fiber or fixed wireless.

The county recently announced the new website, which tracks broadband expansion projects across the region.

AI tools could potentially be used to analyze complex legal briefs, create lengthy requests for proposals in a short period of time or allow public works crews to view AI-generated photos to determine storm damage remotely.
