The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has issued a request for offers (RFO) for a modern cloud fax solution.
The RFO seeks contractors to develop, manage, implement, test and maintain a secure cloud fax solution that is highly available, scalable and available as software as a service (SaaS). HHSC previously issued a pre-solicitation notice for the requested solution in June.
The requested solution will replace the commission’s contract with RightFax service, which ends Aug. 31. Used by HHSC since 2004, RightFax lacks the “disaster recovery capabilities” required by the agency.
Proposed cloud solutions must include configurable business rules, fax reception capabilities through multiple methods and the ability to port both local and toll-free numbers while supporting 60,000 packages and 800,000 inbound pages per week. The solution must also be able to expand its support to include additional phone numbers and increased page volume up to 160 million pages annually.
Data encryption that complies with all data security regulations must be enabled and verification and authentication of front-end applications and user identities must be verified prior to connection.
Proposed solutions must provide real-time reporting, integration with custom application programming interfaces (APIs), audit capabilities of all faxes and compatibility with Xerox multifunctional printers and Azure Active Directory for single sign-on.
