Amy Conrad, Gartner’s technology and business leader for California, said she’s excited to have Freitas join the team.

“Our entire team makes California home,” she told Industry Insider — California, “and as such, each of us connect with the departments and services that they deliver. Mitch’s proven experience and more recent cloud- and government-specific engagements will enable him to quickly dive into key needs and conversations here in the state. Enabling transformation from a leadership, technology and business process perspective is the core of the Gartner partnership.”

Freitas said he’s been “collaborating with organizations and government agencies to successfully leverage technology to meet key objectives” for years.

“As a native of California and someone who has lived here my entire life, I wanted the opportunity to leverage my experience to make a difference and help California state government representatives with their ongoing initiatives,” Freitas told Industry Insider. “Joining Gartner provides the perfect opportunity for me to provide an immediate impact given Gartner’s incredible track record of working with and helping state and local government agencies.”

Freitas has been affiliated with tech companies, most recently including Bespin Global U.S., Maven Wave, Accela and Baynote. He is an alumnus of St. Mary’s College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in finance.

Gartner has announced multiple new hires and promotions in the last few weeks.
