The annual awards, bestowed Tuesday at the California Government Innovation Summit in Sacramento, recognize projects and technologies devised and implemented within state government in the past year.

In the state known as the nation’s technology leader, winning a “best of” award is clearing a high bar.

This week, Government Technology, sister publication of Industry Insider — California, presented its “Best of California Awards 2023,” which recognize public-sector technologists for work well done. The awards, bestowed Tuesday at the California Government Innovation Summit in Sacramento, recognize projects and technologies devised and implemented within state government in the past year.
