In an email recently sent from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the agency said it would pull the state’s Smart ID application from app stores as it searches for a new vendor to implement revisions to the app.
These opportunities are at the Florida Digital Service and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
The pilot program, slated to begin in Orlando next spring, will allow troopers on light duty status to respond to minor crashes remotely via technology similar to FaceTime.
Vendor requirements include purchasing, installing and maintaining equipment such as cameras, signature pads, scanners and interface software.
