The Center for Digital Government recognized the city for its Situational Awareness for Emergency Response (SAFER) project, which has expanded significantly since its development in 2008.

According to the solicitation, the city's current system is lacking in automation and limits the implementation of more efficient business processes.
The areas to be addressed by the CAD/RMS system include police and fire mobile units, uniform crime reporting, jail booking, animal control and more.
