James Brown, a seasoned public-sector leader, has served the city since 2019 and oversees a $16.2 million IT budget.
Some funds, such as the attorney general’s $16.5 million, will help cover IT spending.
Also noted in the city’s FY 2022-23 operating budget is increased funding for IT compensation, benefits, equipment maintenance and several new projects.
