California Public Sector CIO Academy to Feature Bailey-Crimmins, Many Others

On April 15 and 16, public- and private-sector IT leaders will gather in Sacramento for the annual California Public Sector CIO Academy, a Government Technology* event “dedicated to the art and practice of innovative leadership.”

The event is invitation-only and open to the public sector as well as industry sponsors.

The event will feature California CIO Liana Bailey-Crimmins, director of the state Department of Technology, who will deliver opening remarks and speak on a panel discussing women in leadership.

Many other state agency leaders will speak as well, including:

• Fredrick Gomez, agency CIO for the Department of Food and Agriculture
• Marcie Kahbody, CIO for the Department of Transportation, and deputy secretary of technology and agency information officer for the California State Transportation Agency
